Foster Care

Here's a great way for you to assist the homeless animals of the Winona area! Foster care is often needed for kittens and puppies, as well as special-needs animals, until they are adopted.
We provide medical treatment and food for foster animals. All they need from you is love and attention while they await a home of their own.
Being a foster family is a rewarding experience; knowing that you have impacted the life of an animal who may not otherwise have been given a second chance.
We are in need of foster families to take animals on a regular basis or on an emergency basis only.  For more information contact the WAHS office at (507) 452-3135

Kitten season used to be just in the spring. Now we are getting kittens much more often.

Some motherless kittens need to be bottle fed.
Taking care of them is hard work - you need to be able to manage an every-four-hour feeding schedule.
