Foster Care

Here's a great way for you to assist the homeless animals of the Winona area! Because we do not have funding for a fully-equipped shelter at this time, we rely on generous community members to provide shelter for kittens and puppies, as well as special-needs cats until they are adopted.

The WAHS provides medical treatment and food for foster animals. All they need from you is love and attention while they await a home of their own.

Being a foster family is a rewarding experience; knowing that you have impacted the life of an animal who may not otherwise have been given a second chance.

We are in need of foster families to take animals on a regular basis or on an emergency basis only.  For more information contact the WAHS office at (507) 452-3135
